Pati Walton started working with glass over 30 years. She has been a flameworker since 1992. Her specialty is creating intricately detailed scenes in lampworked beads, buttons and sculptures.

Pati’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. She has been featured in several publications including Lapidary Journal, Jewellery Crafts Magazine, Contemporary Beads and Beadwork, 1000 Beads, and in Making Glass Beads by Cindy Jenkins. She also has a DVD called "The Aquarium Bead" and a small book published by Jim Kervin. She is one of the artists featured in the new book, Masters of Glass Beads.

Her bead is currently on the cover of the December issue of Ornament Magazine.

Pati teaches beadmaking in glass studios around the country and the world and she enjoys sharing her love of glass with other artists. She has demonstrated at the G.A.S. conference in Seattle and in Azumino, Japan.

Class 1 -      3 days    17th - 19th July

Murrine & Aquarium Class

Class outline -

Day one, we will make a signature cane.

Day two, we will make a clownfish murrine and day 3 we will make aquarium beads incorporating the murrine we have made.  I will also teach how to make other components of an aquarium, like drawn in angelfish, crabs, jellyfish, etc.  Each student will receive several small murrine to use in their aquariums or just to keep.

 Class 2 -      2 days    20th - 21st July

 Flower garden Beads

Class outline -

We will make flower garden beads, 3 dimensional flowers, encased beads.  We will also make flower canes to be used in the gardens.   We will use different embellishment techniques using copper screen, bronze and foils as well as dichroic glass.  This class may be a continuation of the first 3 day class.

Class 3 -      3 days   22nd -24th July
